My son is older than your lot...young teen. He's had turtle, iguana (curried), armadillo, possum and wild boar. I tried everything except the wild pig. Iguana was my husband's favourite. We had some deer jerky for Christmas which the kids loved, and also a type of sausage that was made from deer. Pretty good stuff. In Cuernavaca we tried something in the market (an insect) that was quite interesting, but not something I would be craving anytime soon Jesus might know the name of this particular one. It's supposed to be high in iodine.

We've travelled quite a bit with ours and lived in a few different places so they're pretty open minded as well.
