HEY! Look what I got!
This came in the mail! I was so tickled, I had to share….
The back of the box reads: “The scene is set on the Mexico/Texas border in the 1800s. Everyone is on the wrong side of the law; robbing banks, fighting, gambling, cheating, smuggling, - AND DRINKING! This exotic drinking game allows you to criss-cross over the border robbing banks for bags of cash (providing you have the ammo). Drinking Beer (in Texas), margaritas and tequila (in Mexico). You may turn your best friend over to the law for a reward, perform a Mexican hat dance, start a Mexican wave, answer questions on Tequila and Mexico, play strip poker, have a gun fight, perform crazy mimes, tongue twisters, and kiss everyone – all in the first 15 minutes. Then there’s the border wars, where mayhem breaks loose. And there’s drinking – lots of it! This fast action board game will give hours of entertainment for 2-8 players as the sun (and everyone) sinks slowly into oblivion (Or under the table). To play this game you need to be over the legal drinking age, broad-minded and have a zany sense of humor.” Cool, huh?!?!?! Thanks, Denise! - Tyra |

Tyra,
Hey - what a coup! Was this a present from a rather nice forum member...who wanted you to keep those tequila skills sharp for the Playa Olympics? And I thought we hadn't even chosen up sides yet... Of course - Dallas was an Olympic Trial so to speak...so my guess is...Tyra girl, you are being recruited!!! |

Well, better late than never.... Too bad it didn't arrive on time.... Though I must admit we managed to entertain ourselves quite nicely without it.
I think we better give it a trial run over the holidays.... Just to be sure it's worthy of being included as an event in the PDCBO.

I kinda like the idea of a tournament. Perhaps, though, the Texas Team for the Beach Olympics will have an edge. Not only did the pre-trials already get started a couple of weekends ago in Dallas, we'll have another opportunity to practice - as a team - in another couple of weeks at the Texas River Toobin Regatta!

Wasn't there some sort of Olympic unwritten rule about "professional" coaches in the early years of the Games? Chariots of Fire - Harold M. Abrahams' coach Sam Mussabini? |

Our illustrious forum goddess, Denisea, found the game and had it sent to my house. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive in time to allow the P2D2 gang to give it a try. However, we didn't need a game to encourage mass consumption of tequila. I have to admit that I have not yet opened the box to check out how the game is played. I got so excited about just receiving the game that I had to go lay down. Rest assured that I will investigate it further over the weekend and will report back. - Tyra |
