All Off-Topic Forum Users PLEASE READ THIS !!!!
What is the Off-Topic forum ???.......well, originally it was a padded cell built to contain Tommy, Bumper, and myself and keep us out of the general population…..then it became a place for general member silliness not suited for the General Forum…..and then it became a place to exchange miscellaneous info on other travel destinations, home electronics, and an occasional recipe…….and then it became a place to bash GW and other politicians……..and then it became a place for weekend party threads…….and then it became a pain in James’ butt……….and today, it’s all of the above…….so feel free to use it as all of the above (well, except the pain in James’ butt thing)…….but while using the Off-Topic forum, please remember these few rules.
1. Playa.Info is James and Anna’s livelihood, it is their business. You might think of the Off-Topic Forum as “J & A’s Good Time Margarita Bar”. There are thousands of forums on the net where you are welcome to cuss at each other, threaten other members with violence, stalk and harass members, and post nude/disturbing pics…….this forum is not for any of that…..per James, this forum is for:
Anything goes. keep it clean, mostly. this forum is definitely worth a look. we like to have fun around here
2. The Off-Topic Forum relies on text communication between members. Text communication can result in gross misunderstanding of true intent. New members should exhibit a little patience in learning the different personalities of existing members before making the assumption that they are being personally attacked, in most cases, these are humorous jabs not unlike the types exchanged between good friends sitting at a bar table. If you truly feel you have been personally attacked/degraded/stalked in a post, please report the post by clicking on the “ ! ” or send me a Private Message and I’ll try and help you out. Existing members need to remember that newbies may misunderstand us and take certain comments a little personally at first and if that occurs, please clarify your intent and/or apologize if necessary and do not bait them into deeper frustration……
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE remember that James and Anna have hooked all of us up with memories and friends that we will have for years and years to come and they really don’t need the frustration of dealing with “personal attack” complaints generated here in the Off-Topic Forum
3. Nude pics and avatars are prohibited. Almost nude disgusting photos will be deleted. Members who re-post deleted almost nude disgusting photos will be classified as NVAP’s (Non-Value Added Poster) and it will be recommended that the member find a forum that accepts the posting of almost nude disgusting photos and not return. (Sorry Roni, you’ll have to cage the parrot
)
4. Personal attacks will not be permitted. Occasionally, personality conflicts arise, but please deal with these in a more mature way than “F***k Off !!!/ ass%@^e / B*tch/ I’m gonna kick you’re a** ” ……..I did graduate from the 3rd grade so most of the time, I can fill in the blanks……may I suggest typing “wow, that wasn’t cool, I’m kinda offended, do we have to go there” or as is sometimes seen in the political threads, a polite “Oh, bite me!!!”. If you insist on slinging profanity in an aggressive/threatening manner, your posts will be edited into something embarrassingly funny or deleted AND you will be classified as a NVAP (Non-Value Added Poster) and it will be recommended that you find a forum that accepts that type of behavior.
5. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER !!!!!......nothing Babaloo posts is serious.....seriously
Well, that’s about it……not much to ask for the returns we get from hangin out at “J & A’s Margarita Bar”………….Keep It Clean……..mostly
