We usually start our New Years party at the Tutix end of the beach and work our way north towards the blue parrot. By the time we work get to the blue parrot it will be 2005, and we’ll have finished sharing the cheap bubbly (and some better tequila) with the other playa peeps. At some point after midnight we usually find a place in the crowd on the blue parrot dance floor and stay in that area till the early hours of the morning. The beach is packed until midnight and after that point the crowd is often thickest at the blue parrot end of the beach. During the day you’ll probably see their advertising, “Biggest NYE party at the Blue Parrot” or such like.

Only 36 more days... the waiting is killing me. My internal organs feel like they are shutting down. I want to hibernate this last month.

Today in Vienna it has rained, hailed, and snowed... The wind is so cold and strong it feels like it slices through me even though I have 3 sweaters and a coat on. My toes are numb. My skin is pale... It is 4pm and the sun is already setting... not that you can see it because the overcast is so thick it seems like night all day.

To sip booze on the warm white sand. To swim with the fish. To pour hot sauce on a chorizo taco. To not sit in front of this computer all day. To live a dream.

still counting. :-(

Ginger,
Every NYE Talisa does manage to find a babysittng opportunity in Playa. She’ll be in town on Wednesday, and so you should close the deal when you see her.
Mike.

My brother in law will be in town also, so I will definately want to secure her for that night.

This may not answer all those Christmas and NYE questions in the other threads, but it may provide some clues.

Grafixx! Thank you so much for reminding me why I moved to California from Munich. Munich is a wonderful City and was a great place to live and grow up. But I so remember how that long cold Winter feels. I sometimes complain about things here in CA but I need to remember that I moved here because I love the warm sunshine and long, long Summers. That said - It has been below freezing at night here. But that is not normal at all for Southern California and we actually enjoy wearing a sweater for a change. Looking forward to feeling that soft white sand between my toes and that wonderful gin clear Caribean ocean on my body. Wohoo! Only 3 weeks and 3 days.

The reason why I left California... das Land ist scheisse. Da ist kein Freiheit. Alles erlogen! Ich liebe Deutschland... Österreich. Ich gehe zum Amiland nie wieder.. es ist ein schöne Leben in Europa... die Kälte ist wurscht.

But I like some sunshine :-) There is nothing better than thinking about 3 weeks and 3 days (ich auch)... dann vielleicht jeden tag noch :-))))

sehe dich bald
