The Aventura Spa Palace is located near Playa del Carmen--approximately 60 minutes south of the Cancun Airport, and 90 minutes south of downtown Cancun. Complimentary shuttle transportation into Playa del Carmen and Cancun provided daily by the resort.

Nearby points of interest:

Xcaret (eco-archeological park) - 10 miles
Playa del Carmen - 12 miles
Cozumel - 12 miles (and 40-minute ferry departing from Playa del Carmen)
Xel-Ha (archeological site) - 22 miles
Tulum (Mayan ruins) - 27 miles
Cancún hotel zone - 43 miles
Cobá (Mayan ruins) - 72 miles
Chichén Itzá (Mayan ruins) - 150 miles

So how does anyone feel about JanChris getting everything needed in the way of maps and info from Mapchick (Laura)...??

Every know and then I just break out the maps and stare.......
(sans webcam that is)

Note:
For TOMMY - sans webcam means - without the benefit of a webcam to stare at all day long for the occasional LIVE PLaya fix

This is a cool site with aerial photos of the entire PDC area. This should help some. If you look up at the top left corner of the photo there will be arrow buttons. To go towards PDC, you will want to go to the right, etc.
