Wow! What kind of beds did they have, then? Generally we hear the reverse from guests or in online comments -- that they find our beds more comfortable than anywhere else they've stayed in Mexico -- though of course as I've noted before, there's a lot of personal variation on this issue.
And in your case, you would have gone from a Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress with foam pad on top to whatever they have there. So, just surprised!
