Cheap hotel in Pl.del Carmen and Cancun ??

Hi !!

I will visit Cancun or Playa del Carmen in the months of november this year, during 2 weeks, but I have no idea where to live.
Im not interesting in all included, just a nice and claen hotel.Not to small, because I want privacy.

If you need a good, moderately priced hotel in Cancún, I can recommend El Rey del Caribe. It is a lovely, older hotel close to the bus station on the corner of Av Uxmal with Av Nader. It has A/C, TV, kitchenettes (fridge, sink, 2-burner gas stove, dishes for 2, pan and pot), pool, hot tub, spa services, and parking. There are no washcloths provided, but there are dispensers in the shower for shampoo, conditioner, and bath soap. Be sure to bring your own bottled water. http://www.reycaribe.com

Another less expensive one we have found is Hotel Xbalamqué on Ave Xachilán and Calle Jazmines. It has everything El Rey has except the kitchenettes and hot tub. Reserve at www.travel-center.com, and you’ll get it for half the price posted at the front desk.

I HIGHLY recommend the Playa Maya hotel located on Calle 8. It is literally located right on the beach. It is not all inclusive, but the nightly rate includes breakfast. The staff there are TOP NOTCH, and very attentive. From making sure your glass was always filled while lying on the beach to helping out with private horse back riding reservations, the staff was always available to make our stay a great one.

If you stay at the Playa Maya, and Steve and his wife don't take excellent care of you, than your next round is on me. I'll fly right down and meet you at the Playa Maya. (See -- any excuse to get my Playa fix.)
