Best Tacos
Where is Aca Los Tacos? The Playa Maya News is running a pole for the best tacos, so far Aca Los Tacos are out in front. I've search this forum and cannot find any reference to this place.
Is it a new restaurant? |

I can hardly wait to sink my teeth into some Tacos al Pastors. I think I will make the rounds!
I won't stop there, it'll be on to El Oasis and shrimp tacos. I haven't seen where any peeps have eaten Chinese food in Mexico. Anyone out there been to Mama Wangs (Jack and Fanny)? |

Eating in Playa
WOW! The little place called La Cabana located on Constituyentes Ave. between 1st and 5th (just up the street from El Porto Real) and run by a local family became our regular afternoon spot for Coronas and snacks. Absolutely first rate at a great price. I think during the 8 days there we tried everything on the menu and all was just great. The walls on the inside of the place are decorated with messages written by their patrons around the world.
For a local restaurant with genuine home made REAL Mexican food try El Sasape on Avenue Juares between 20 and 25th streets. It was recommended by a waiter at Jaguar's (another highly recommended eatery). Not much English is spoken there but ordering was no problem at all. Beware of the salsa however, its HOT!!!!!!!! For a real experience go out to a place run by an expatriat from Texas. Its located on 10th Ave between 6th and 8th Calle. It's called Captain Bob's. You really can't go wrong eating anywhere in Playa, its all good. |
