Yes, Yes, I know this post is two years old but we've heard Susie mention
La Taberna several times in the past- and tonight on our way to another restaurant- we passed by La Taberna and decided to check it out.

Thanks, Susie for the great recommendation. We loved it! The A/C was great, two for one at happy hour and a great meal. For 200 pesos we had
4 beers, spaghetti bolognese and Thai spaghetti. We will go back- their menu is EXTENSIVE and the prices very reasonable.
We strolled down Fifth for awhile and then drove to a farmacia with a Holanda freezer and got the pistachio ice cream bars covered in chocolate (pink wrapper with a green eye) It was a great date night!!

OK!! I will- I promise- but I discovered a beer there that I really like! (don't really like beer- except sometimes a dark one) Anyway, I tried a Bohemia. It was delicious!! It tastes fruity- like a Gewürztraminer wine!! Give it a try!!

Thank you!

LB is around 26th and 10th, and LT is at 4th on 10th, so it's not exactly close, but nothing is "far" really, in the tourist area. Around 10 or 12 blocks, give or take. And yes, they still provide internet service at La Taberna, though there are much closer internet cafes to Luna Blue... just around the corner on 5th, actually.

We go here on Sunday afternoons to watch the Vikings play FB on tv. Great place with great food, and drinks. Good place to check email too. Last time we were there the Vikings were playing the Packers and there were a lot of Packer fans there....wonder if they will show up when we play them this year?

Carboncitos

My husband and I just returned and thanks to the advice of those on this borad, tried a new place - Carboncitos. The place is fantastic, I can not rave enough about it. The manager (girl), sadly I forget her name - was awesome!!! She made the experience complete. In fact we loved it so much, we went three times during our stay for appetizers with friends.
I absolutley loved the pumpkin salsa and their fresh guacamole - it is the best I have ever had!!! Thanks for the advice. I hope this place thrives and does well - the food is excellent and large portions at cheap prices. And they have the best mojito I could find for $3 USD!!!
