I absolutley loved the pumpkin salsa and their fresh guacamole - it is the best I have ever had!!! Thanks for the advice. I hope this place thrives and does well - the food is excellent and large portions at cheap prices. And they have the best mojito I could find for $3 USD!!!
Were is carboncitos located?

Bodega 22

Kudos to the new addition on Calle 22, for really fresh, natural and unusual dishes, and the owner Joshua is very nice. Try the sandwiches for lunch, made with incredibly delicious bread, or go for breakfast. They have the best coffee menu we have seen, especially in response to the new Starbucks.

Bodega 22

It's on Calle 22 between 5th and 10th, next to Sunglass island.

All this input helps me keep my list up to date.

I have been keeping my own list for a couple of years now. I update it when I come to Playa and try a new place or revisit an old favorite. I also read all of the food postings and include all of the restaurants that get regular feedback on the message board. I do not include places that get an occasional mention without at least two second affirmations. I included many of the mentions in this thread, and I think this is pretty complete as of April of 2007. It is up to 10 pages long. Hope that you like it.

Thanks so much Dpreefer,
I printed out this eats doc. that you have been so kind to share. Wow this is awesome and just what we are looking for. We really like the out of the way spots and try to check out as many of them as possible when in Playa. Your list is the absolute best I have seen. We will arrive in a couple of days and can't wait to try many new places and also our favorites.

I have always acknowledged that I started my current thread of updating the restaurant reviews from a great start that was pretty dated when I tried to use it. I have been trying to keep it up to date and have invited all peepers to send in their reviews and opinions, which I ahve tried to include in regular updates. I like your comments. They mostly agree with mine, but have some new places and opinions. I am going to Playa on Wednesday for a couple of weeks and will hopefully visit some new places and revisit some favorites, and when I return, I will update my list and include some of your additions and those of others who have found some new great places, or uncovered some lapses with past favorites. Keep your eye out for the update. Coming soon to a message board near you.
