We attended a Super Bowl about fifteen years ago (Redskins V Bills, up in Minneapolis), and witnessed something that wrecked all pro sports for us.
The opening kickoff, and the Bills' receiver ran it back for a touchdown. WE saw this in the stadium. But if you were watching at home, YOU never saw this play. It was called back because the network was still running a commercial!
Do-over, and the Bills completely lost momentum.
And there was not a mention of it in ANY media afterward. Not even Buffalo's media, and one would think they'd be pretty p'ed!
That was just too creepy and too bizarre and too dishonorable for us. We can't watch any sports anymore without wondering if we're really watching what's really happening.
