I doubt you'll have any success tryin to grow it outside if you live north of Dallas. Needs a sandy dry soil as well. Not sure what one would do as an interior plant, but full afternoon sun would be essential..

how deep & wide does the sandy part of the soil need to be? gotta dig out a hole in my nice heavy alkaline clay to try one..
