You are right, you do not get it.
I was not defending Nixon, but stating my disbelief in a group of U.S. citizens that would rather leave the people that fought with & for our country to die at the hands of extremists as our troops leave the fight, than stay & get the fighting over once & for all.
Cosmo is also correct when he says that Nixon did not end the war the people did. He forgot to mention those same people helped end the lives of 10s of thousands.
History will repeat itself & I will yell just as loudly when we pull out of Iraq & thousansds die as I did when we left the Vietnamese, Cambodians, & Laotians behind to fend for themselves 30+ years ago.
