Checkin' in

Hello everyone! Wonderful site..Great forum..nice people! Got turned on to this site by Jez(fat cat) in January when we were in Playa, stayed at an AI just north of town. Been stalking this site ever since !! I've never posted yet because I was soooo entertained and all my questions were answered. Until now..... I am planning on making a solo trip to Playa, been there 2x before with my husband, and am looking to stay for one month. He will join me in the last 2 weeks. I need to know if Hotel Paradise has a kitchenette? Can anyone help me out with this, and if so is it a kitchenette or a hot plate put in the room? A room description would be great. I appologize in advance if I post this in the wrong place, but..I'm about as computer literate as Bumper is stuck for words....Woo Woo .

I think they may have one or two rooms like that, I cannot remember. Their web site is www dot hotel-paradise dot com. You could check there.

Friend, your fame is growing by LEAPS and bounds...

Why, soon...You'll be the Charley Weaver of the Playa Forum Board - and sitting upon your throne in the Center Square!

I appreciate the sentiment, Cuff, but I would never aspire to Cliff Arquette's mastery of the double-entendre. I bow to your often-demonstrated superior knowledge of TV and movie trivia, but wasn't Paul Lynde generally in the centre square? (Oops! sorry about the spelling on "centre". Just that Canuck book larnin' kickin' in again!)

Welcome to dingbat central, aakmaak. The more the merrier.

Why yes...you are right...

Paul Lynde was center square with Charley Weaver in the lower left, Wally Cox (Underdog) in the upper left and Rose Marie usually in the upper center.

Rosanna, Patricia and David's grandfather was a classic artist of comedy...
Old kinescopes of the Dennis Day and Jack Paar shows will attest to that!
Also loved Wally Cox's deadpan humor...

FORGOT how good that show was sometimes...

Another bit of trivia here:
Peter Marshall's son played major league baseball too....wasn't too bad.
Anyone remember his name and who he played for?

Pete La Cock, I believe played for the KC Royals in the late 70s and 80s.....
He wasn't too shabby but I don't think he'll be mentioned in any Hall of Fame ballots...KC had some real good teams in that decade, led by George Brett...
