If Guanajuato is representative of the way that addresses are here in Mexico, then I can understand why it is so difficult to have mail delivered. There is a very modern looking postal office here, but the callejons are steep and most of the houses don't have numbers nor are the streets named and if they are it isn't always obvious. It is hard to tell where you are at when wandering around. I know in Playa it isn't always easy to find an address either. I sure as heck wouldn't want to deliver here in GTO. Funny when I tried to use my Playa Blockbuster card here, they wanted me to update my address to the place we are at here in GTO. I thought to myself - Why? Is Blockbuster going to send me a notice if I forget to return the video? Good luck, eh?
