We will be in Playa del Carmen from June 18-25. I was wondering just how hot we should expect it to be? And is it a comfortable or uncomfortable heat? We are staying at La Posado Capitan and have an oceanfront cabana but without a/c. Does it cool down at night at all for sleeping?
Thanks for the help!! |

Is that Capitán LaFitte's you are talking about? If it is, please enjoy for me too. It is one of our very favorite places. If you have an ocean front room, you will be fine, even in June. The seabreeze will keep you cool. I can hear those waves lulling me to sleep now. At LaFitte there is no nighttime noise to interfere, and the night sky is awesome.

Thanks so much for the positive words on Capitan Lafittes!! I was starting to get a little nervous since I haven't heard or read too much about it. It does sound lovely though! When you stayed there, did you rent a car or just take taxis into town?

The first time we didn't have a car, but we had come from a very stressful time and just wanted to sit on the beach, read, and fly kites. The next time we rented a car and were glad we did. If you want to go into Playa or to the ruins, etc., it's best to have a car of your own.
