I am curious if anyone has traveled with a labtop, digital camera, or camcorder. I am curious if these kind of things are ok to take with my carry-on luggage? Including the battery and power cord. I just want some clarification cause I don't want to check any of my luggage, cause I won't have much.

All the items were fine to carry on except the powercords, obvious reasons I guess.

On one of my trips to Playa this year, I had a laptop, DV-VideoCam, Hi-8 Camera, (2) Digital Cams, (2) 35mm Cams, Photo Printer, Disposable Cameras, Underwater Cameras and everything else electronic for the trip, all in one carry-on bag. Everything went smoothly in both directions and the only thing confiscated was a foldup screwdriver (similar to a pocket knife). Obviously, it took me much longer to get through security than anyone else.

Just came back on Sunday and going from Mexico to Boston the guy checking carry ons in Mexico made me take my powercord from my CamCorder and put it in my check on bags, he wouldn't let me carry it on.

I carried on both directions. No problem. My shaver had a power cord, but was buried deep in my back pack. Just be smart.

It was nice not to check in bags for a change, without fretting whether they'll be lost.
