Enjoyed your report and photos. We loved this resort too. It's my favorite of all the places we have visited so far.
Those balconies on the first floor are very exposed to the walkways and pool. From your photos it appears you may of had one of the corner rooms which would make your patio even more open to everyone passing by. It would be nice if they would put small hedges or plantings in front of the ones that are really close to the walkways and pools. Nothing to block the view, but just to give a small sense of privacy when you are sitting out there.
