For the 2007 fair, Dave and I stayed at a place called Quiet Camp. The property is owned by some locals and it is about a 35 minute walk to the fair. We arrived around 4:00pm on Thursday and we practically had our pick of where to park. We didn't have shade because some of the vendors and security personnel took those spots. I would like to stay there again because the other camping spots get crowded early on, and this place did not start to fill up until Friday night. Also, this place allows RV's and campers. There are no hookups, but the other places aren't too happy about RV's and campers because of the generators and I think this is the only spot that allows them. Also, you can bring a propane stove. There are showers available and I believe that it is included in the price for camping. On the property there is a small cafe that sells breakfast and lunch which is very good. Dave had a great salmon and pesto omelet for breakfast. I'll keep an eye on the website for the fair and let yáll know when we can start making reservations. We didn't make ours until about May and we were fine.
