Technology and trances
Tech has usually put me in a trance, even though it is how I make my living. I am not sure it is related to music, except for the fact that I usually have iTunes on while I am at work--but I am usually listening to 60's and early 70's music Like, like wow man, Find the Cost of Freedom. Ron |

I'm older than most of you, 50, but I like that type of music. You are only as old as you act and feel, a lot of people 20 years my junior can't keep up with me, but I enjoy life every day! One day my body will make me slow down, but until then, full speed ahead! Thanks for the replies!

If it's not the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Grand Funk Railroad, or Aerosmith, chances are I won't recognize it.
One of these days I've got to reset some of my car's radio buttons to something other than Talk Radio and the Oldies!! (now where did I leave my teeth???? oh,,,,, right here next to my hearing aid......) |

I'm with you aerodog
I just turned 50 and my wife will catch up with me in Oct., but we love techno trace, euro dance music - especially to dance to. We were at a Moby concert in Denver last summer and before the concert in a "techo tent", we danced away mingled in a sea of twenty somethings. Some well known DJ was spinning great techno.
Just wanted to back you up on "your as old as you feel" statement. It's easier for us most of the time to relate to 20 and 30 somethings than it is to those willing to settle into old age. We've always been very active, adventurous and a bit crazy at times. Well, as for techno in Playa . . . sorry, I have no idea where you might find it. We actually don't spend much time in PDC . . . we prefer the quiet of the southern coast when on vacation. We will be in PDC for the month of Nov. though, attending language school. I suppose your best bet would be to ask some hip young local where you might grove to house dance, etc. Never say die aerodog! Have fun in PDC!! If you find some techno, let me know bro. Bien viaje, Tom in Colorado |

Absolutely check out Santanera...the coolest club we visited last Jan. Ambient upstairs, techno/trance downstairs...very cool vibe. Also Frida bar had a great DJ...I think his name is Memo...he is excellent! You will probably see posters up at restraunts and in hip stores around town for Santanera, that's how we found it. Have a great time!
