Where SHould I go For Night LIfe

Im Staying at Secrets Capri in September. I know that Secrets is not the best resort for night life. What is Close to the resort? How far is Cozamel (spelling), Playa De Maya, and Cancun? WHat is the Best way and Cheapest way to travel to these locations at night?

Hey! I am not sure where Secrets is, but a ferry to Cozumel leaves from the PDC town square numerous times during the day. The cost is around $8 (one way) and it's about 40 minutes each way . I haven't taken it in a long time, so I might be off with some of this info, but I don't think it runs all night, so if you were going out you'd have to make sure you caught the last ferry back. Cancun is about an hour from Playa. The bus leaves from the station on 5th Ave (also near the town square) every 10 minutes during the day and it's about $3.50 each way. Depending on where you are going in Cancun, you might have to take a bus or cab from the bus station to get there. I think the last bus back is around 12am, but I'm not sure. Cabs within PDC are inexpensive as well. I think on this site you can find the cab rates for PDC. PDC is awesome, the nightlife is great there, so it's very likely that you'll find everything you want there and decide not to leave for any of these other places! I like it much better than Cozumel and Cancun. Regarding the buses, look around online (maybe this site too) for their schedules. I'd find them for you, but I need to go put money in my parking meter! Hope that helps a little! Have fun!

As far as I know Playa del Carmen is closer to the Capri then Cancun is- so you might want to go there.
Playa has various nice bars and discos to go to- main difference between Playa and Cancun would be the size of places I think.
So in case you are looking for huuuuuuge discos with hundreds of people going wild at foam parties or bikini-contests (like Daddy O's or similar- the other names just escaped my memory...) you might want to head to Cancun. Places in Playa are smaller- and more fun if you ask me. You could check out the Blue Parrot or the Tutix.

Not sure about nightlife in Cozumel- but one disadvantage is that the ferry does not run all night as far as I know (unless that has changed in the last years). Once spent one night there- didn't find it too exciting, but I might have been to the wrong places!!

Hope this helped...

Nightlife in Playa is great. You can find just about everything for everyone. The problem with cancun and cozumel is late night transportation. On cozumel you might be staying overnight, and from cancun a taxi is quite expensive.
