Playa del Carmen Nightlife!

Doesn't anyone know what the nightlife is like in Playa del Carmen?

What are you looking for? There are numerous different bars that are very fun (have you seen the list included on this site?). Many stay open until 2-4am. Lots of dancing and various other things to see like fire dances, live bands and musicians, etc. There's an internet cafe/pool bar that's fun too. It's safe to walk around a night and many of the bars are within walking distance of eachother. In my opinion, the nightlife is great! Are you looking for something specific?

There is a list under PDC Directory at the top of the page. Click on bars and restaurants. I'm sure everyone has their favorites, but mine are Capitan Tutix, ******, and Mambo Cafe.You'll find lots of people and dancing at all three of these. Have fun!

****** has a great dance floor on the beach. It's a wooden deck shaped like and about the same size as a swimming pool. It's surrounded by large palms that have speakers and lights tied to them over the dance floor. The music is good and it's loud. You step off the dance floor on to the sand of the beach. It's right off the water so you almost always have an ocean breeze. Don't forget to check this one out!!!!!!!

Hey Kenny, we will be there next week too and plan on getting in some dancing as well. We are hoping to meet up with a few people and wondering when you might be going. If your plans are like ours we have none...just playing it by ear and going with what ever we feel like doing each hour of every day we are there. After all it is vacation. If you want send me a PM and let us know your plans!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but all nightlife in Playa del Carmen has been cancelled. An 8:30 PM curfew has been imposed, and there is a requirement for lights out by 10:00 PM. Bed checks will be conducted.
