Lomas Travel Transfers?
We just booked our resverations at Xpu Ha and the local travel agent has provided us with vouchers for the hotel and transfers to and from the airport through Lomas Travel -- hoping for some confirmation that Lomas is reliable, will be there when we get there etc. . Also, as a family of four, any idea if we will likely be sharing and stopping at other destinations? If so, I will gladly pay the additional charge to go non-stop to our destination. Finally, looks like Lomas is also our "on the ground" contact for the trip -- any experience with them in the event we encounter problems . . over-booking, needing to change hotels etc.?
Thanks in advance. |

Although you've already posted that you've booked nonstops, I figured I'd add in my experience.
We found the Lomas reps, drivers, and contacts at the resort to be very organized, courteous, professional, and friendly!! No problem at all dealing with them. As a matter of fact, the driver of our transfer van to the airport on our last day not only provided a bathroom stop for another couple in the van, but ALSO backtracked back to that gas station/store to retrieve the guy's wallet which he left behind on the counter in the store!! Luckily it was there when we went back. (This also gave me a chance to use the bathroom!) The driver was a doll about the whole thing. Kept a clear head, drove faaaaast (but safely), and got us to the airport in time to make our flight. Funny.... that same couple was not only on our flight to Boston, but also sat right next to us on the plane! |
