I don't understand the logic of your argument. He asked permission first, and even if he did want to sit under the tree as an experiment or to prove a point about segregation, so what? Should a Jewish family moving unto a street with no other Jews expect a swastika on thier door for moving into a neighborhood that "doesn't belong" to them? I know you didn't mean this, but you can see how the same rationale could be applied to your argument?
