Catalonia Riviera Maya, ocean
Hi all
I just wanted to check if it is true that you need some kind of boots or sandals to enter the ocean outside Catalonia Riviera Maya, supposedly the ocean bottom is stone/coral reef? is this really true? BR Didrik |

Beach shoes
Beach shoes are a VERY good idea. Friend's 12 year old son stepped on some animal in the sand out in the water while staying at Copacabana. It created a deep cut and required 3 surgeries when they got home for an infection that ate away muscle in his foot. He was layed up for a month and on crutches for 2 months! Protect your body and your trip regardless of the resort or appearance of the beach.
