I would like some info please:
1) What happened to TelArt next to Tacolote? I went by there in May to look for a tablecloth, and the place was gutted. 2) Do you know the exact location of El Oceano, a fresh fish market? I know it is north of Constituyentes on a corner with Ave 3O, but I don't know how far north. Thanks |

1. TelArt unfortunately closed in April. Too bad, I loved that store. Now the best store for Mexican textiles and handicraft would be Selva y Mar on Ave 5 between Calle 4 and 6. They have a beautiful selection, top quality and pretty expensive.
2. Oceano is located on Calle 34 between Avenida 30 and 35. Great fried fish! |

Thanks,Anna. I've bought a couple things form Selva y Mar, but they really are too expensive for my budget. Their merchandise is topnotch, though. I will miss TelArt.
Does Oceano also sell fish to take home and cook, or do you just eat on the premises? |

Oceano have both fresh and fried fish. They have a big box full with fish, you pick the one you want and take it home, or fry it right there (great to take to the beach). They also have shrimp, fish fillets, octopus etc etc. There is a big sign of what they have, in Spanish of course.
Calamar = Octopus Camaron = Shrimp Everything else (I think) is fish and they're all good. ¡Provecho! |
