Reef Club In room Safe's

I have read that the Reef Club has safe's but you have to obtain a lock and key from them at A minimal charge. I was wondering would a normal pad lock from home work or are these something special that they have there. Not to keen on the idea of not knowing who else has key's to that lock ?????
Thanks
Christopher & Adrianne
