Barcelo Maya Master Suite or Rooms 1 or 12?

Can someone explain to me the difference? I have read that the rooms ending in 1 or 12 are on the corners with hammocks, what is different from the master suite?

I have tried to sign up for that site 3 different times, using 3 different email addresses. NOT once has the confirmation been sent to me. I tried to personally contact the moderators to no avail. I have gotten the run around each time. I refuse to look to that board for advice!

Try posting this over in the AI section of this message board. Shammy is a moderator on this board and on the Barcelo Board, I am sure she can give you the info.
Or maybe James will just move this thread since it does have to do with an AI resort.

I dont think there is alot of differences in the rooms at the Barcelo except the master suites are just a little big bigger, have a sitting area and a hammock on the porch.

I guess it depends on how much time you spend in the room and how many people are staying in it - if a master suite would be worth it.

I am a moderator over on the Barcelo board and I for one, have not been contacted by someone who I couldn't grant access to. Not sure where you sent your e mails regarding any problems that you were having but if you tell me what name(s) you registered under, I can go in and check to see if they actually went through and get you set up immediately. Send me an e mail....annalynne at lonepalmtravel dot com (but put it all together like it should be...trying to ward off spammers!

Rooms 1 and 12 are regular, standard rooms but have bigger balconies because they are next to junior suites, which are rooms 2 and 11.
Master suites are something completely different. They are much larger, have a jacuzzi, dining table and chairs and a living area that is seperate from the rest of the room. There are only 5 of them at the hotel and they are extremely difficult to book. I have never been able to book them for anyone with any of my suppliers, that room category is just not usually availabe but I have booked a standard room and then contacted the hotel to ask for an upgrade. Once folks hear the price it usually costs TO upgrade to a Master suite, they usually downgrade again!
