Coco Maya Beach Club

I saw somewhere that there is a Coco Maya Beach Club. I am assuming it is at Coco Beach maybe north of the Reef Club Coco Beach? The original Coco Beach Club was our favorite Beach Club in Playa but it closed when the Reef Club was built. Does anyone have any info on this please? James?

Coco Beach

Yes , we walk north on that beautiful beach. JimmyMN posted a wonderful idea a while back. Take a taxi to Captain Lafitte and walk back to Playa. I've done it 3 times. It's a 4-5 mile walk and takes about 2-3 hours depending on walking style. Another note is since the big rains in June a huge swimming pool was created at the next point north of the Coco beach point. Many Mexican families were cooling off there in July. The water temp is at least 20 degrees cooler. You can actually see the fresh water coming out into the pool. We jumped in, got totally refeshed and continued our last leg to Playa. Bring plenty of water and sandals if you have sensitive feet.

We walked down last March to our little favorite place, the Zubul beach bar. That is still there. Still has the swings for bar stools, and the view is breathtaking. Not sure if this is the one you are talking about or the original Coco beach bar, which is not there anymore.
