Shammy can you help?

Do you know if this used to be another hotel, It doesn't say if it is brand new. I called the 800 number tonight and they don't even know anything about it yet.

Just so no one thinks Shammy's being unresponsive... She's out of town until 8/24.

Memory must be going Cuff, Shammy's in Sarasota, FL to look at property... or at least humor the hubby.

I am staying there in March. Not the Azul, but the El Dorado Royale, it and the other El Dorado are right next to each other. Go to search for El Dorado, find the trip report page. Type it in and you will read 99.9% good things about it.

They called me to answere my questions. They have swim up bars, bars on beach, numerous rest. AI but more reasonable then other's. They will pick you up for free at the airport. Also has shuttle to Playa ever 1/2 hour.

Their bars have swinging chair's. I'm a little afraid that I could swing too high, of course having no fun and get in trouble. Other then that concern I have researched enough and feel very good about the choice.

Denise wins the memory prize, I WAS in Sarasota but Cuff is on the right track...I WILL be in Denver NEXT week! :p

The new Azul is not completely new...it used to be Club Pariaso Maya/Escape Paraiso Maya.

And yes Cuff, it's for families too...little buggers running amok. *Gasp*
So enjoy your quiet time at the EDR, which if I remember correctly, is where you are right now...or are you in Denver?

Quick note here Linnea, the El Dorado and the El Dorado Royale are NOT next to each other, they're pretty far apart actually. The EDR is up by Puerto Moreles and close to the Paradisus Riviera, before the town of Playa and the ED is down by Puerto Adventuras, near the Barcelo Maya, past Playa.

El Dorado and El Dorado Royal

Rebecca, a person that works for the resort, Phone number 408-6033422. told me everything about both resorts and said they were right next door. She told me that there is a gate to walk through and that you can use facilities at either place.

Well, all I can say is that Rebecca is misinformed.....

One hour south of Cancun International Airport, 25 minutes south of Playa del Carmen, 25 minutes north of Tulum, 10minutes south from the natural aquarium of Xel – Ha, 20 minutes south of Xcaret, 25 minutes north from the ruins of Tulum.

El Dorado Royale, A Spa Resort, an Adults Only Resort, is located in the heart of the Riviera Maya, facing the beautiful Mexican Caribbean. 25 minutes south of Cancun International Airport, 15 minutes north of Playa del Carmen, 20 minutes away from the "Playacar Golf Club" and numerous wonderful Cenotes, 5 minutes south from Puerto Morelos and 35 minutes south of downtown Cancun
