I am staying there in March. Not the Azul, but the El Dorado Royale, it and the other El Dorado are right next to each other. Go to search for El Dorado, find the trip report page. Type it in and you will read 99.9% good things about it.
They called me to answere my questions. They have swim up bars, bars on beach, numerous rest. AI but more reasonable then other's. They will pick you up for free at the airport. Also has shuttle to Playa ever 1/2 hour. Their bars have swinging chair's. I'm a little afraid that I could swing too high, of course having no fun and get in trouble. Other then that concern I have researched enough and feel very good about the choice. Linnea |

The new Azul is not completely new...it used to be Club Pariaso Maya/Escape Paraiso Maya. And yes Cuff, it's for families too...little buggers running amok. *Gasp* So enjoy your quiet time at the EDR, which if I remember correctly, is where you are right now...or are you in Denver?

El Dorado and El Dorado Royal
Rebecca, a person that works for the resort, Phone number 408-6033422. told me everything about both resorts and said they were right next door. She told me that there is a gate to walk through and that you can use facilities at either place.
