Another good one: anyone who would like a quick summary of all the global warming threads here at Playa.Info can just read through this one-page Fox "News" bit from just yesterday.

It's also a grand critique of their approach in general, I think. Consider:
the fake, weak set-up by Hannity's lapdog, the supposed liberal Colmes, who as usual rolls over and plays dead at the second kick;

your cowboy in the white hat, Hannity, riding in to bring some reason to the whole thing with his usual scoffing and belittling of one side and brown-nosing of the other (guess which side gets which treatment, if you can!);

the supposed expert who's so out of the loop on the topic but whipped up by the whole atmosphere that he says there's no scientific evidence at all for claims of human-caused global warming;

and rounding out Colmes as the token liberal, perhaps in an attempt to give some sort of numeric weight (as if that's all that counted) to the "fair and balanced" moniker, we have everyone's favorite liberal to make fun of, a tree-hugger (actually from Greenpeace!), who of course is barely allowed to speak and certainly lofted no softballs like Hannity tosses up for his "expert" (though to Mr Tree-Hugger's credit, he uses his rare chance to highlight the irrelevance of much of the commentary and especially Hannity's shift-and-dodge tactics)...
I mean, if you sat down with a team of excellent writers, comedians and actors and worked for a couple of weeks, you probably still couldn't come up with a better parody of Fox than this. How you fans can continue to see the word news as applicable to what's presented by this outfit is a bit more than a bit beyond me. Granted, CNN's Crossfire was of the same ilk, but at least that network had the dignity and self-respect to cancel the stupid thing after that fact was finally and beautifully made clear to them in Stewart's memorable appearance.

Anyway, as I say, you can get a quick nutshell summary of all the environmental debates here on just that one page, if you're interested. No matter which side you're on or what you think on this topic, take a read and see if you don't find yourself nodding in recognition at just about everything!
