After reading the article that Susie submitted, it made me start thinking about all the fishermen in Playa and what will happen to them?

When we first went to Playa, it was called a fishermens village and there was about 6 commerical fishermen-Jim couldnt even find someone to take him fishing-this was 18 years ago.

As some of you know,we have a friend and partner, who has a fishing business in Playa-he also is the president of the union now. He is very concerned about the future of the fishermen-especially with all the changes on the beach. There is talk of putting up a wooden pier for the boats but this is only talk right now.

So what do you think should happen to the fishermen? Stay as is? Get the pier built? Or get rid of them completely?

I am sure you know how I feel-keep them and figure out a way to keep them.
