Hard Rock Addiction!!
Hola All;
I wonder if I might ask a favour? I am an unrepentant, admitted, commited (or should be commited), unapologetic, compulsive, slightly obsessive collector of pins from the Hard Rock Cafe. The cafes will not sell on a mail order basis, so the challenge faced by a collector is to find people who will shop for them in the Hard Rock Cafes in their towns. Several chums I have been lucky enough to meet through this forum have been kind enough to perform this task for me, and have added significantly to my collection. Tstar has shopped for me in Dallas, Nerak 936 has made purchases for me in Boston and on her recent trip to Orlando, SunSeekers in Houston, Halitosis (who travels a lot) in Philadelphia, Memphis and his home town of Minneapolis, Local8 helped me out in New York City, and jdoil in Austin. (DavidB & Palmtree were even kind enough to bring me a pin from Detroit when we met last year in Playa) I'd like to know if there's anyone out there who either frequents a Hard Rock Cafe in their town, or passes by one, and wouldn't find it too much of a hardship to do some shopping for me? You'll never be out of pocket, since I always arrange payment in full, including postage, before I ask you to forward anything. I don't collect everything the cafes have out at any time - they each bring out pins on an on-going basis throughout the year - but they always have junk jewelry available that I'm interested in. (Nobody's rich enough to collect everything they produce!) Please let me know, in a PM if you prefer, if you would be willing to lend me a hand. I'd appreciate it. |

Well, if I see any Hard Rock's along our new planned route through Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee, Georgia, on our way to Orlando, then Alabama, New Orleans and Texas when we head from Orlando to Texas we will be sure to pick you up some pins!
PS. thanks go to Michael Holmes for the new route which shaves a day off our time. We've decided to see the Grand Canyon on the drive home. |

Being an antique dealer I know and love many with "stuff" addictions. I'd be happy to keep my eye out for some pins. Checked to see if there is one in New Mexico, nope! Husband goes to Hong Kong a couple of times a year. Do you have a dream list?

"headed that way next"?
This is my operation base, I have to go out of town on bussines purposes but I'm back and I will be on the HRC neighbourhood this weekend. Anything special besides the butterflies? For mailing I think that I will need to travel to Playa on January to find any Chilly Canandian who will mail them from within your border. |
