You are so right, it's a wonderful thing to see that look of trust and love develop in a rescued dog.
You reminded me of the first foster dog we had a few years ago, a little lady by the name of Hannah, born and bred in the streets of Playa. The first few days she was with us, she couldn't settle down. It took a few of her trips around the house for us to realize she was watching her bowl. It was like, "Wow, there's still food there ..." "yep, still there" "hey, there's food, yay!".
I can hardly wait until January when we get to Playa for the winter - I'm hoping to have the privilege of helping out at the shelter.
The pics are great, Andy - the one of the two dogs with floppy ears with their heads in the fence just about did me in!
