All Riviera Resort

We are looking at staying at the All Riviera resort, any feedback, both good or bad would be appreciated. I really like the fact that it is on the beach, but I am partial to the North end, we really do like it on the quiet side.

We have never stayed there but some good friends of ours have....I have been in the rooms and they are nice and clean...ocean view and really very affordable...They have a small pool that you can cool off in but not much for swimming...Coco Fizz bar is at the beach and we know all the guys very well...The waiters on the beach and the owner of the restaurant.....The hotel is small and quite...and has a great location....the coffee press is right down the street on calle 2 as well as the chac bar......We love to hang there when we do the beach thing because of all our friends there....

Here is a view from the 3rd floor corner room!

and the Coco fizz crew!

Thanks Sunseeker for the info and photos, I am only concerned about noise at night, we are not party people, really like to relax and enjoy peace and quiet, as we have never stayed in this area, I am still a little concerned being we will be In Playa in February, we were stuck in Montego Bay, Jamaica during spring break one year, what a mistake, oh well, we have also been in Playa during February a couple of years ago, but stayed in the north end very quiet and relaxing, I guess we will just have to decide, especially seeing it is only a week or so.

The hotel is very quite at night......If your on a budget its a great beach front hotel....no frills....but clean and quite......Tha Playa Maya would be a more lux hotel if your budget allows!!!!....Both very peacefull at night....

Checked out the Playa Maya on our trip last week. The girl at the desk was nice enough to show us a couple of the rooms and it looks very nice. Location is great!
We are considering it for our next trip. Rates seem quite reasonable as well.

We spent a week at All Riviera last February. It IS basic and we didn't get the rooms that were promised us (party of 6/3 rooms) despite my best efforts to secure them. This place is very quiet at night so that won't be a problem and the location is great. The most noise you'll encounter are the waves crashing on the beach-not a bad way to be lulled to sleep!

I just got back from PDC and was considering both the All Riviera and Playa Maya. I decided on Playa Maya and am very happy with the decision (especially since when I checked on the All Riviera while I was down there, the pool was closed and surrounded with yellow tape - temporary, I'm sure). The Playa Maya is a wonderful little hotel. The rooms are large, quiet, nice and exceptionally clean. The staff is great in both the hotel and the restaurant, and the beach is really nice. I would defintely recommend it - the location can't be beat and it's not right in the midst of the somewhat noisy party zone around Captain Tutix (sp??)
