Firstimers needing direction

we(5 adults) are staying at the Bahia Principe from oct9-23 -however we need to travel to Isla Mujares for a wedding on oct 15- probably returning later the same day-we have no idea what would be the best method of travel - could anyone assist with some advice?-Thanx!

I would suggest a larger rental car for the day....All pitch in and it wont be that bad....Head north on 307 and follow the signs...

Here's transportation info that our resident Isla Mujeres expert, Critter, posted not too long ago --- June 2004. I'm sure he'll be able to offer you additional input for your specific situation as well.

Takes approximately 2 hours. Ferry runs from 6 am to midnight, switching to an hourly schedule around 9pm (may be running all night on the hour). Buses run 24/7.
