Real Playa del Carmen - any info?

I have been looking at Funjet and noticed a resort called the Real Playa del Carmen that I had not seen in the past. From what I can tell it used to be the Club Bananas (?) but the Real company brought it recently. It is not on the ocean but the facilities at the Gran Puerto Real can be used if staying here. Has anyone stayed here and is it close to the Gran Puerto and Playa? Thanks!

Yes formerly Club Bananas and bought by the Real Resorts. Click here to read a previous thread that includes a link to a trip report from someone who recently returned from there. Do a search on "Real Playa del Carmen" to find other posts on this hotel.
