Adios Cabalova!

It's been a good ride, but all good things must come to an end some time. Tonight is Cabalova's last evening. I'll have our new roving reporter Stacy try and dig up the details for us.

I have fond memories of all of Cabalova's many locations around Playa and points south. I had a great World Cup (with 7 peso Coronas!) at their first Playa location on First Avenue.

I could tell that you were a bit surprised Friday night when I mentioned to you, James, about the notice outside Cabalova's...too bad...they were a great resource...
I liked the local television Super Bowl spots, one of which was a Cabalova's spot as I recall...seemed like a nice bunch!
I wonder if Michael (tstar) is there enjoying the football game tonight...?

Too bad. I liked Cabalova's. So now where will everyone go to get their sports fix when in Playa?

I didn't know it was going to happen so soon. I had heard the news but you get used to "tomorrow" never arriving here.

They definitely had the strongest mojitos we had anywhere in PDC!!

We really enjoyed watching the Packers beat the Vikings there. Sure am going to miss it. Nice place.

First time I met Bruno he had the "best Hamburgers in all of Mexico" then came the best pasta in all of Mexico, then the best sushi in all of Mexico. sushi??? Good luck to Christian.

Thats to bad......we had several playainfo meets there.
I also met Lena and her husband from Babes there in August and had a blast with them.
Oh well I'm sure there will be a new place for my husband to watch boxing and all those other sports he can't live without.

I had pretty good sushi there, but they had all these sports on television, kinda ruined the atmosphere

Not being much of a sports or sushi fan, I never clocked too many hours there. I did have a memorable night there, however, in January of 2004. We were strolling down 5th and saw a huge crowd in the street outside of Cabalova, and they appeared to be rockin. It was the Rolling Stones simulcast, and I'm definetly a Stones fan. We stayed and watched the show, what a great time. Hearing people scream the chorus and mumble the rest of the lyrics in at least five different languages/accents was very entertaining. It was one of the highlights of a 10 day stay.
