Just got back from Las Palapas on Friday. I'm sure gonna miss these 2 hotels when they are gone. We also stayed a few days at the Iberostar Quetzal and missed the small hotel feel of Shangri La and Las Palapas. Gonna be hard to find something to take the place of these north end hotels.
The deluxe rooms at Las Palapas are very seculded, but the bedding is on it's last leg and there were a few bugs in the room (they are literally in the middle of the jungle). Great place IMO.

It was very similar in that it was small little ocean front cabanas. I think it called Las Palmas or Las Plamitas or something like that (but I could be way off). Anyone know what I'm talking about?? If so, do you know a website or phone number?
