? Iberostar Beach at night
Hello,
My fiance and I are looking into the Iberostar Lindo for our honeymoon in April. Someone told me that the beaches and pools were closed at night. Is this true? Is this just for swimming, or are you not able to walk on the beach at night? Any insight would be very appreciative!! Thank you! Sarah |

Actually, maybe my question is - At the IB Lindo, do you have access to the beach at night? Would you go to the beach at night? (Are there security concerns, etc.)
(Can you tell this would be my first trip to Mexico?) Thank you! |

You can walk the beach if you want at night - but I would stick right by the resort front. While I am not sure that they advertise the pools as being open at night - we were in it and had no problems. There was security walking around.

I stayed at the del Mar but it's pretty much the same thing. You can walk the beaches at night...security will be your own concern though...it didn't bother me to be out there.
Also there was nothing I saw that said you couldn't swim at the beach at night, however it's at your own risk and it will be very dark...almost no lights on the beach. I did see people swimming at the beach at night...didn't try it myself though. The pool at the del Mar closes at 8pm and I never saw anyone in there after that. It is lighted so it wouldn't be an issue with swimming safely, however there are workers cleaning it at that time and we were told they dump all the chemicals in at night...so it may not be very good for you. |

I did go to the beach at nite at the Lindo. It was beautiful and the water was nice. No one else that I could see was out...although I think security does walk up and down it. Acutally I did notice someone far off with a flashlight (hoping it was security). But be careful!! The next morning I woke up to a bunch of bug bites all down my legs. And I also did see a few people in the pool at nite. I think they close it so the people in the surrounding buildings won't be disturbed. As long as you are quiet and respectful, no one should bother you.

You can go on the resort's beach at night. If the security guys stop you, all they want to do is check that you are a guest there.
I wouldn't swim at night, not past my ankles anyway. There are things lurking in the water that you won't be able to see when it's dark. Just not the safest thing to do.And don't swim in the pools after they close. They are dumping tons of chlorine and other chemicals in there at that time. They need to close these pools at some point so that they can do this. Ending up with green hair does not make for an enjoyable trip! |
