I report spam and advertising. As far as the "problematic" area goes, I think I have reported there it maybe twice. You'd like to think we're all adults, and should know better, but there are all too many examples that this is not the case. I have some problem with identifying what constitutes rudeness, fighting, or harassment. That's pretty much a moving target. A lot of it is in the eye of the beholder. However, if you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

As far as the "ignore" feature goes, I've never used it, and doubt I ever will. I'd rather do my ignoring on a personal / manual basis. There's plenty of threads I never look at based on who's started them. or who the active participants are. I suppose I likely miss the occasional nugget by handling it that way, but I'd like to think I can recognize where something is going, or who's taking it there, and censor accordingly. I've generally got better things to do with my time.
