Spam - I let other people report it and it does not seem to be a problem here.
Attacks / excessive name-calling - ask the person to stop it on the thread in which it occurs. Do it in public if you can. That is my preference, and I have done so a couple of times.
Bother the moderators? Nah, they are busy people and they generally leave me and my parrot alone
