I thought "bite me" was an approved insult... so I will use it here in regards to your second sentence... Bite Me.
I'm not sure (I'm the newbie mod) but I think that the mods that are mods for that specific subforum get the emails when you send a "report post" message... plus the administrators... not all mods get all emails... I think...
I think some peeps throw comments at each other and they don't mind... but sometimes what starts as fairly innocuous comments can escalate quickly to a very heated, ugly discussion... so seeing a thread that is turning that way and giving a heads up about that thread isn't a bad thing... thing is, sometimes the thread resolves itself on its own and no moderating is necessary, so the email will in essence be ignored as far as acting on it....
