Ibersotar Lindo ROH or Jr Suite

3 of us (Wife, 4yr old and I) are planning to book the Iberostar Lindo. We are trying to better understand what is the difference between the Run of the House and the Jr Suite. We can upgrade to the Jr Suite for $370 and wandering whether its worth it. Does anyone have comparative pictures?

We stayed at the Lindo in July and had the same questions and went ahead and bumped up to the Jr. Suite. I have no idea what a standard room was like, but the Jr. Suite had two double beds (you can get a King if you want, but we had a 12-year old with us, and he got his own bed) and a small sitting area with a couch and a coffee table. I thought this might be nice for sitting on once we got back to the room, but truth be told, we spent so much time out of the room that when we came back, we were ready just to lay in bed and watch TV (the TV is across from the beds, not the couch). So we never sat on the couch at all. If we had to do it again, we would save the money and just get the regular room.

I second that suggestion.

Unless money is of no object, a junior suite for 3 people isn't all that necessary. It's just a bit of extra space, which is always nice but......

Shammy - if we get the standard room and request a king size bed, can we get a roll away bed or cot for our 15 yr old?

I stayed in both the Jr Suite and the Standard (aka 'Run of the House') room. Bottom line, there both exactly the same except for the addition of 6 feet between the bed(s) and the balcony window. The additional area has a couch and table, and in our case, rarely used. The Jr Suite also has a jacuzzi on the balcony (or at least for all honeymoon Jr Suites) - hence the extra $.

I would suggest just getting the standard room, and apply the extra cash elsewhere.

The regular room is quite large and actually has a couch too. I would not spend the extra for the junior suite. There would have been plenty of room for a rollaway in the regular room.

Robin,

My agent site tells me that there are NO rollaways at the Lindo.
