Gala vs. Riu Yucatan

Hi! I'm getting married at the Iberostar Tucan on November 17. A few of my guests did not book early enough and the resort is now fully booked. With a few couples left who haven't booked, we are trying to book them at one of the resorts next door so that we can still hang out during the day on the beach together. Neither couples have children and would prefer somewhere with less children running around (if possible), but food and facilities is also important. From my research, I think the Gala is the more family oriented with a lot more children (I think), but the Gala seems to have better facilities than the Riu Yucatan? Are the facilities at one or the other better/nicer? How about the food?

Any feedback would be much appreciated. I know I picked a GREAT resort for the wedding, and thought my work was done, but since they didn't book in time, now I'm feeling pressured to make sure they're not at a far less quality resort.

Thanks in adevance!!
Sharon.
