Earthquake!!!!!

We are having a series of earthquakes here in Northern California. It’s not anything as serious as the hurricanes in Florida. Hopefully the folks down in Parkfield are not suffering any serious damage.

We felt the 5.9 here in Fremont. I can’t feel any of the threes but they are still showing up on the web site above as I type this.

Hang in there Michael! Hopefully everyone out there is okay. My fiancee has relatives out there in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria.

I expect the earthquake was noticed in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara. Nothing serious up here, just the most noteworthy act of nature we’ve experienced this morning.

Sheesh don't send those down our way! Our neighbor's daughter justed started UCSC last week. She said it hit during class but no damage. We have friends in Paso Robles who got hit really hard in December (or was that early January). I wonder how they fared. All that rumbling up in Washington too, Mother Earth is feeling restless.

Hurricaines, earthquakes, volcanos......sounds like a conspiracy to me.

I'm not the least bit paranoid.

Yep, St. Helens is having hundreds of small quakes every day now. Don't expect an eruption, but it could happen down the road. The scientists are trying to figure it out

Palm Springs area

When I was in Palm Springs this last February they were predicting a big one (Big for their area I think they said a 6) some time between June and November of this year. Not sure how they could tell that far off but since the one yesterday was on the same fault line it just may happen. I hope not because Mom spends the Winters out there from the end of Oct. to April. I've only felt one and that was enough for me.

Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, volcanos, tidal waves...suddenly the bald, windswept, desolate Canadian prairies don't look so bad. Oh...yeah...can you say 45 below with a minus 58 windchill...never mind...sigh!
