Need help with Wedding in Cancun/PDC area

Hi,
I am undecided whether to have a wedding in Cabo or Cancun/PDC area. I can't seem to find that much good info though for Cancun/PDC. Should I go through hotel? Coordinator? by myself? We are having about 20 people fly out for it but we don't have all that much money (~$5000). Could anyone help?????

Maria is Sharky's wife and she has a wedding planning service. They own the Beer Bucket and the Coffee Press...Her web site is weddingsinplaya.com if you send me a PM I will give you her e-mail address...She is a super lady and I think she can help you out. She can do whatever size wedding you need or whatever kind of setting...as well as any budget. She is a friend of ours and I highly recomend her for this service...check out there website and tell her that I sent you to her...

Wedding Info

Hey there. I've only been lurking for a while. New house, moving and all. But a PDC wedding question always brings me out of the shadows and back into the sun.

We were married at Iberostar in 2002. It was a great decision, and the wedding was beautiful. Excluding the cost of accomodations, it was MUCH cheaper to get married in PDC than in the US, and few US cities could have provided such a beautiful backdrop.

From the moment we contacted the hotel, everything was taken care of for us. Other hotels also offer wedding packages, so do some research. I would start by doing a search on this site as this topic has been well covered in the past (inculding by me).

You can also PM me with any questions, and I will be happy to answer.
You will have a great wedding in PDC. If you do some research you'll have a great time at a nice price. And of course, you'll never be sorry for visiting PDC. I've been going yearly for almot 15 years!

Regards,

Frank

My lady-to-be and I just planned our own down there so don't be afraid to take it on yourselves. Although, we didn't plan anything very elaborate either. We have about 45 guests coming down. How much time you have to plan before the wedding will make a difference too. If it is kind of tight then a coordinator may take some of the stress off of your shoulders. Just my 2 cents there. Good luck and have fun!

Ciao,
