Since I have so far not read any of the books mentioned....I would like to add to my original question -
And why are they you're favourites?
For me The Time Travellers Wife was just so romantic and despite the theme of the book the actual relationship seemed so realistic, I fell in love with the characters and the story and the way it was told was something different but worked well.
With Lorelei's Secret, I went into the book somewhat dubious, but again found that the portrayal of the love between these two people in such an imperfect relationship was amazing.
If a book makes me cry I tend to love it
