Makes Sense

Thats makes sense, since originally Panchos was located where Blue Lobster was until a similar episode happened and the stuff was put out on the street. Seems as though Blue Lobster owners are kind of back-dooring things, not an admirable quality. Si is anybody going to post some photos of the other day??

I got home a week ago and have only just seen this. I'm shocked and not shocked at the same time. We visited 3 times in the 2 weeks we were there. I thought it was a really nice place, the food was good, drinks were great (though a little pricey) but each evening we were there we practically had the place to ourselves, which I found a bit surprising at the time.

Thinking of MTV bands, Duran Duran comes to mind. Not to mention all of the 80's hair bands, Ratt, Poison, Motley Crue, White Snake (still think of Tawney Kittan every time I see a Jaguar).

BTW, the Beach Boys song DLR covered was California Girls, and that EP came out just prior to his split with Van Halen. His first album after the split was Eat 'Em and Smile with Steve Vai on Guitar.

If it wasn't for MTV David Lee Roth would never had made it to where he was.
And I can remember watching MTV just to watch the videos not caring too much about the bands that were performing the videos. Most of the time it was someone other then the band that was doing the videos any ways, so that didn't matter either.

Does MTV even PLAY videos anymore? It seems like everytime I run across that channel, it's some reality TV or off-the-wall show. I never see videos anymore.

Personally, I loved when Ponchos consumed that stretch of Calle12... it was a great location for watching people coming and going to the ******. It was nearly impossible to find anyplace to sit at the long bar. I'll have to say though, whoever designed either of the locations had a truly great vision. Both were spectacular layouts!

Okay...This all makes sense now. This thread is a week old - Exactly a week ago I visited Playa for my first time and couldn't find Frida's. I even asked and a lady pointed me in the direction of a building that was a mess. It looked familiar from the photos, but not right. I figured I was just lost...Oh well.

Well then he didn't exactly lack anything in terms of ability of the guitar players he joined up with, did he? Another point he has in common with Billy Idol. Upon further reflection, I'd have to go with Mr. Idol for the title First/Original King of MTV. Maybe Mr. Roth could be either Duke (if you like him) or the official court jester (if you don't like him so much), but I think he has to be there. Duran Duran could certainly be dukes (good point, John!), perhaps along with ZZ Top.

Well I thnk that kind of corroborates my point that he was really in the right place at the right time with that act, same as Idol. They fit like hands and gloves (and I ain't talkin' OJ Simpson style).
