A 'Discover Dive' is a one-day intro into SCUBA where you go on one or two dives, typically. You learn the basics in a pool and on land and then dive to only 40 feet (I think we went to 50 but 40 is supposed to be the max I thin.)
We did one in Playa 2 years ago, we went with 'Scuba Libre' they are right off Fifth in PDC (sorry- don't know which calles).
It was awesome and not at all intimidating, we both loved it and we are planning on getting certified in Cuba in February. Can't wait.
We went on 2 dives, one was Jardines and I can't recall the other.
There was only three of us and the third, a woman from Mexico City, couldn't do the dive- she was fine but once she got out in the open ocean, she just couldn't get herself to descend...it happens.
